2008 continued OCT.

October - i don't think i did any sewing for this month because i had just gotten back from a Fork's Vacation But i did purchase fabric (LOL)

I decided to do a lil crafting instead I wanted to make a watch band out of beads because they are so popular and so i sat down and figured it out and came out with this ...

November- i decided that in November i was gonna make something Twilight re-lated and lo and behold My twilight aprons came too.. They are reversible On one side it is Jacob and his is a wolf claw (NOT THE BEST PICTURE SORRY) with a pocket full of wolves but a Reddish Brown one sticking out.

Edwards has a apple on it with Bite Marks from Himself and Bella on opposite sides and down the middle is Jacob slashing his way to keep them apart. Music Notes for the Pocket of course

Someone requested a Half apron that said Be Safe

Jasper was on one side with His Texas Star and on the other it said "Be Safe" also (That is a popular saying)

Of course i needed a Alice with a crystal ball and the words Wanna Bet .

December- Of Course i had to make Jayedyn a xmas outfit (The only thing about this one is the fabric is not the best ( it's hard to buy fabric when you are broke )But we found some really cute snowman fabric which turned out great.. Jayedyn loved it and she appreciated it greatly she kept telling me over and over .....

one day while were organizing fabric we found this cute xmas fabric and threw together a quick stripwork jumper, We had a church xmas party so i thought i would make her something else for that , it was 2 hrs before the party and i whipped her up a Strip work Jumper (LOL) The things i do for my kiddos ...)

Since i had major requests to sell my backpacks i sewed a few to put on my etsy shop

My black and white ones go pretty fast
Towards the end of the month i decided that Jayedyn needed a Spring outfit and since i had the fabric already I started sewing Of course this one was a Stripwork Jumper dress (LOL) that is Jayedyn's fav... it was alot of fun Jayedyn helped with this one (She sewed the strip all together )

That ends the sewing year for 2008
I hope you have enjoyed my year in reveiw Feel free to comment ....

Thanks for reading .
Sew
for the FUN of it! Year 2007
So i was asked to start this Blog of Of all my sewing Inspired Outfits,
I have been told that i should be selling them But i am just not that great at the selling,I am more willing to just give them away. But The Hubby is not to keen on that idea . So just this year i started an Etsy shop But i have had no sales on it as of now I made the mistake of selling them other places so if i have ever made a outfit for you or you just love something i have done Feel Free to Comment ...
I started sewing again in 2007 for our family disneyland trip and it has just taken off from there. I started thinking about what i had sewn before and i completely forgot about these....This is the very 1st outfit i had ever sewn since home ec class in Jr High.. This is My lil ' Camden and he got to be the Scarecrow..Then I Did Jayedyn's Dorothy outfit and Crafted The Tin man for Khrystian
Logan was the Cowardly Lion

I was the wicked witch and Lonnie was a Flying Monkey (LOL)
So i am gonna start with My favorite ones which were Disney themed I was so unbelievably excited for this trip
This was our very 1st family vacation and 1st trip to disney so i was all kinds of excited as well as the kids, My BFF Wendy introduced me to a sewing forum and i just took off from there, it took so arm twisting But once i was hooked i was in for a wild ride (honestly i think she just needed a fabric partner in crime )

Princess Pillow Case dress was the 1st sewing Outfit i had done after a couple of years. T It turned out awesome .
Next was a lil trickier I had a vision in my head of the perfect dress and i was gonna do it or die trying
This is a picture of theFabric Panel it was for Ariel's Grotto Dinner and i wanted to incorporate all the Princesses and the way more than i could do ( Pattern) LOL
I remember thinking i should not have shown this to Jayedbug just incase i could not accomplish it but did anyway and what do you know ....
( NOT Too shabby i would Have to say !)
Here is What makes that Pattern and my seam ripper Nemesis all worth While,

Ariel's Grotto Breakfast DisneyLand 2007

She got alot of attention with her dress.
All the princesses and fairy Godmother had to have a picture with her it was so much fun for her

Random twirling outside the park .
Next
The Minnie Inspired - I was pretty shocked Jayedyn actually Picked out the Fabric & designed how she wanted it to look..

This Dress has some serious Twirl Factor (LOL) Custom made Bow of Course
Minnie LOVED this outfit....
We were Lucky enough to attend Mickey's Halloween Treat @ DCA so i whipped up These Pirate outfits To save us about $200. My Very 1st applique ever a lil scared but overall they turned out adorable.
Jayedyn had a corset and I made her a tulle Petti for under neath.
Mickey's Halloween Treat Event Outfits Appliqued Pirate Mickey heads Were a Huge Hit Someone offered me $200 dollars for all of them after, Her kids were the same size and they were headed to WDW for the Pirate/Princess party....... Can you believe i turned it down, I am just a sentimental FOOL!
Mayson Had to have Mickey Heads sewn onto his shirts
This was his favorite Outfit ! He was on a huge Mickey Kick...
Mickey Mouse Inspired With Appliqued Mickey Gloves (this outfit was very tricky i had to adjust the pattern to fit Mayson Because he was so small It still was a lil big on him) But overall a huge hit .

. This was the picture on our last day at the park .
Here are a few Iron on's that we did for shirts !

Here we are wearing them except Mayson & Jayedyn

But she ended up changing into hers half way through the day..
This was my Iron on for The Ariel's Grotto.

I made this outfit for My sister's wedding

But Jayedyn wanted to take it on our trip I had a whole spongebob theme going but did not get to finish it including My shirt.. I was a lil bummed about that But i always put myself last I am a Mother after all....

That was all of our DisneyLand Trip outfits It made the trip alot more fun in my opinion The kids were constantly getting asked where they got them and they would smile huge toothy smiles and say proudly "MY MOM MADE THEM"

I had a huge project that i was helping my sister out with It was her wedding dress We had to take a old wedding dress and make a new one I also did the Veil .

After a few hundred ideas I was done and this is what the last Design and what she agreed on
And just because i did not have enough to do i also made the hair bows for her girl's to wear.

On to a few Holiday and Just Because Outfits i did, Lets start with
The Thanksgiving Outfit -
She loved this Appliqued Turkey with a Bow

And i made her a turkey Hair bow .

Oh where oh where has my lil turkey gone .......
Okay so here is The Xmas Outfit

Jayedyn helped me make the snowman bow

It was a pretty cold, snowy day but it looked really cute with her leggings & boots.
As xmas presents i made all my nieces a Outfit and We had to Include Wendy lou's Norah,

Lillee

Shandie

AudreeOf course

Jayedyn

Norah (Utahmama's Lil Pissy Missy )Norah was not Happy we pulled her away from PlayingThey were all a lil' bit different but the same fabric was used it was alot of fun But it took a while ,This Pattern was the Stripwork jumper But not a whole lot of Twirl factor added to it because it was just going over Pants nothing to special that would just get ruined in the snow and slush
I would say that i had a great year sewing in 2007
I am excited too see what 2008 has in store and hope to progress on my sewing techniques and learn some new things..

I love Misty's work! She has an eye for fabrics that "go" together fabulously! I have several of her twirly dresses and they have HUGE twirlability!!!
